ACADEMICS

The School year now runs from September to July. There are school holidays at Easter and Christmas, and a long vacation in Ju1y to September.

Unless written permission is obtained from the Principal on application by a boy's parents or guardian, no boarder may remain in the College for the holidays. All boarders must go home in the long vacation.

ADMISSION

At the junior Secondary 1 level, admission is only by success in a competitive Entrance Examination conducted by National Examination Council (NECO), Minna after which short listed candidates take a second written selection examination conducted by National Examination Council (NECO).

Boys of non-Nigerian parentage may sit for either of the two Entrance Examinations, but they must obtain the permission of the Federal Ministry of Education before admission can be made.

WITHDRAWAL

Boys who make little progress owing to persistent idleness or proved incapacity may be required to leave. Both the boy and his parents will be warned about this a term in advance.

The Principal has the power to require a parent or guardian to remove his boy at any time for a grave offence or for any cause judged by the Principal to be inadequate. If a boy is expelled, his fees will not be refunded.

A term's notice in writing is required by the College if the parent or sponsor wishes to withdraw his son/ward from the College. The Principal's prior and written permission is also required. Where the necessary notice is not duly given, a term's fees will be charged in lieu.
